This survey is being conducted by Gender and Disaster Australia. Its purpose is to gather expert advice on the needs, barriers, and priorities of people with disabilities in Emergency Relief Centres.

Emergency Relief Centres (ERC) are facilities established by Local Councils during and immediately following disasters to provide shelter, food, information, and support services to affected community members.

Our goal is to ensure that ERCs are safer, more inclusive, and better equipped to meet the needs of everyone during disasters.

The insights you share will help inform the development of practical tools and recommendations for councils participating in the Disaster Ready Fund Creating Safe Shelter Spaces project.

The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time. Your responses will remain confidential and will not be linked to you or your organisation in any published materials. Individual responses will not be shared with third parties.
