2017 Keep America Beautiful/Lowe's Community Partner Grants

In 2017, Keep America Beautiful and Lowe’s are once again proud to announce the Keep America Beautiful/Lowe’s Community Partner Grants. The grants engage local volunteers to take action to benefit communities across the country. Over the past six years, Lowe’s has supported Keep America Beautiful Affiliates with more than $5 million in contributions and the support of Lowe’s Heroes employee volunteers. Lowe’s and Keep America Beautiful have mobilized nearly 46,000 volunteers since the partnership began.
This partnership will award grants to Keep America Beautiful Affiliates for community improvement projects.These grant applications should reflect the need for a high impact project in your community that includes critical needs (a need to have vs. a nice to have). You are strongly encouraged to involve your local Lowe's stores and Lowe’s Heroes.
Grant funding levels include:
$5,000 Grants
$10,000 Grants
$20,000 Grants
Affiliates may apply for ONE grant in each $5,000, $10,000 OR $20,000 category.
All projects must be completed by December 1, 2017 with project report submission to Keep America Beautiful by December 15, 2017. If project cannot be completed by the deadline, grant funds must be returned.
Projects should include a critical needs component and fall within the KAB focus areas of ending littering, improving recycling, and beautifying America's communities including, but not limited to:
o Edible/Community/Pollinator Gardens
o Landscaping/xeriscaping
o Vacant lot restoration
o Tree plantings
o Improving the appearance of vacant/abandoned buildings
o Graffiti site abatement
o Hiking, biking, nature trail clean-up
