The City of Lockport is preparing a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) to establish a community-driven vision for the future of its waterfront areas. The LWRP will identify opportunities to improve public access to the water, strengthen connections between the waterfront and surrounding neighborhoods and destinations, enhance recreation, support economic development, protect natural and cultural resources, and guide future investment throughout the City’s Waterfront Revitalization Area (WRA).
Community input is an important part of this process. This survey is an opportunity to share how you currently use and experience Lockport’s waterfront, what you value most, where you see challenges or opportunities, and what improvements you would like to see in the future. Your feedback will help the City identify community priorities and inform the development of policies, strategies, and potential projects as part of the LWRP.
The survey includes questions about waterfront access and recreation, connections and mobility, economic development, environmental protection and resilience, infrastructure, and overall priorities. Whether you live, work, own a business, or spend time in Lockport, we encourage you to share your perspective and help shape the future of the City’s waterfront.
Please be advised that respondents can only take the survey from the same electronic device once, even if you did not complete the whole survey. Be sure to leave yourself at least 20 minutes to complete the survey in one sitting. Paper copies of the survey are also available in the Community Development department on the second floor at Lockport City Hall.
