The Peel Poverty Reduction Strategy is looking for individuals who have lived experience of poverty to join the Lived Experience of Poverty Network.
 
What is the Lived Experience Network?

The Lived Experience Network will be made up of people who are experiencing or have experienced poverty. It provides a platform to make your voices heard about issues that are important to you.

Why are we creating a Lived Experience Network?

The Peel Poverty Reduction Committee would like to work with you and other residents who have lived or living experience of poverty, to create awareness about how poverty impacts people’s lives, and work together to reduce poverty in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga.

Who is eligible?

Residents of Brampton, Caledon or Mississauga
Who have experienced or are experiencing poverty
18 years and older 
 
Why should you join?

You can use your voice to make a difference in our community
You will have opportunities for training and skills development
You will receive transportation, honorarium and other incentives for participating
You will be part of a larger movement, working together to reduce poverty
 
What is required?

Attend and participate in training, orientation sessions, and meetings (face-to-face, telephone, web)
Participate in community meetings and activities as determined by the group
