Community Online Questionnaire

In 1972, the City of Fairfield acquired a 6-mile unused segment of the Sacramento Northern Railroad for the primary purpose of establishing a bike/pedestrian path and recognized a need to find transportation alternatives.
Since then, the vision of the Linear Park Trail has faced several obstacles including growing park maintenance costs, and the changing housing and development markets around the trail.

The City is seeking input from the community-at-large to identify community aligned improvements that will reactivate community spaces, improve pedestrian and bike connections, and reduce blight and crime along the trail.  These improvements will be supplemented by a proposed soundwall along the corridor to enhance safety in residential areas.  The area being studied runs from Pennsylvania Avenue to Dover Avenue.

Neighbors, businesses, parents, and students can help shape the future of the Linear Park by participating in this short 14 question online questionnaire.  Please let us know your thoughts and any other ideas you have!
