This questionnaire is the first step in the Judge Reginald C. Lindsay Fellowship Application process.

Eligibility requirements:

The Lindsay Fellowship is for college students with a strong interest in a career in law. Current sophomores and current juniors are preferred (no current freshmen). While Nelson Fellow program graduates are given first preference, as are first-generation college students, all students will be considered. Additional information on the program is available at https://www.mad.uscourts.gov/outreach/lindsay.htm.

The Lindsay Fellowship is a nine week commitment. Every Fellow is expected to be present in-person each day, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for the duration of the fellowship. The nine weeks are currently scheduled for June 9, 2025 through August 8, 2025. There is a 4-hour orientation session presently scheduled to be held on June 4, 2025, the Wednesday before the program's start date. The precise schedule will be set at a later date after consideration of all the students' schedules.

This program is intended for students who are available to participate in the entire schedule. If you have any prior summer commitments and would be unavailable for any part of the program you will be asked to list each date in the next section.

IMPORTANT: Submit the online portion of your application by clicking "Done" at the end of this questionnaire. Please note that your application is not complete until this office receives the supporting documents listed below:

1) Your college transcript;

3) Your resume; and

4) Proof of eligibility to work in U.S. (a copy of U.S. Passport, Social Security card, birth certificate or green card)

DEADLINE: All applications and supporting documents must be received by the U.S. District Court's Project Coordinator no later than close of business on Friday, January 31, 2025.

Details on how to attach all supporting documentation are listed at the bottom of this application.
