Lewis and Clark State Park CDP Survey #2 |
Introduction
Conceptual development plans (CDPs) guide the future use and development at each state park and historic site. CDPs support the mission, purpose and direction of each facility. These long-range plans outline area use, site goals, development objectives, research needs and project phasing while taking into consideration the significant natural, cultural and recreational resources of the park or site. This survey is part of the division’s ongoing effort to ensure that the public has input on state park and historic site development.
Site Mission
The mission of Lewis and Clark State Park is to provide outdoor recreation compatible with available resources; to interpret the park’s historical connection to the 1804 Corps of Discovery expedition; and to preserve, restore and interpret the park’s Missouri River floodplain ecosystem.
