Lewes Neighbourhood Plan Pre-Submission (Regulation 14) Consultation

The Lewes Neighbourhood Plan is moving towards completion but still needs your input. A six-week public consultation begins on 8th May and ends on 21st June 2017. The neighbourhood plan is being produced by a steering group of community representatives and includes the contributions of those visiting workshops and exhibitions over the last three years, alongside the group’s own research and investigation. The draft plan is now ready for the six-week formal public consultation as required by the regulations.

It is recommended that you read a copy of the Pre-Submission Consultation Draft of the Lewes Neighbourhood Plan before completing this questionnaire. It may also be useful to have a copy to hand while completing the survey, either an on-screen version or a print copy. The survey questions refer to page numbers in the draft plan.

Once the consultation period is closed, Lewes Town Council and the Steering Group will gather together all the comments received and produce an official consultation statement, listing all the views and opinions submitted, and setting out how the plan is to be amended as a result.

The revised neighbourhood plan will then be formally submitted to the South Downs National Park Authority, the local planning authority. Once complete, the Lewes Neighbourhood Plan will become a statutory planning document and will be used to guide developments across Lewes until 2033.
