Welcome to the Shire of Lenora's Disability Access and Inclusion Survey

Background

Since 1995 it has been a requirement under the Disability Services Act (1994) that all public authorities prepare and implement a plan to improve access to their services for people with a disability. The Act requires that public authorities lodge a DAIP to the Disability Services Commission. Local Governments are required to report on its DAIP in the Annual Report.

Since the adoption of the initial DAIP, the Shire of Leonora has implemented many initiatives and made significant progress towards ensuring that the community is accessible and inclusive for people of all ages and abilities and continues this commitment.

DAIP Review and new DAIP 2023 – 2028

Currently the Shire is reviewing its DAIP and invites feedback from people with a disability, their families and carers and community groups including disability service providers to help inform a new five year plan.

This survey is part of a process to identify areas of importance when developing strategies around the DAIP outcomes and will also inform objectives within the Shire’s Strategic Community Plan.

We invite you to participate in the survey that comprises of questions around DAIP outcomes and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Please answer only questions you feel comfortable with and note that none of the questions are compulsory.
