Study Background

Lake County, in conjunction with the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee (LCCTSC), is conducting a Paratransit Market Study to evaluate transportation options for county residents and to prepare an implementation plan to improve service. The study, which kicked off in January 2017, has included a review of the range of available services, identification of gaps in service relative to community needs, and development of potential improvements.

Transportation service gaps and needs in Lake County were identified by stakeholders, transportation providers, community feedback, and review of data pertaining to existing services.  A number of potential strategies to enhance mobility in Lake County by addressing those needs and service gaps were developed, with the following objectives in mind:

— Make existing services easier to find, understand, and use

— Market services countywide to increase awareness, support, and use

— Explore employment transportation options to address stated needs

— Add new services to address other service gaps

Your responses to the following questions will help us to determine priorities among the potential strategies for enhancing mobility in Lake County communities.
