Ballpark Library Lab – Community Feedback

The Salt Lake City Public Library will soon establish a presence in the Ballpark Neighborhood with the Ballpark Library Lab, a new concept for a temporary Library space. To make sure the Library offers the services that meet our community needs and aspirations, we want to hear from you! How do you see the Ballpark Library Lab being used?

Meeting Space: Timeslots when the lab is usable as a community meeting space.

Computer Help: 1-on-1 help navigating websites.

Social Service Resources: Community partners visit the lab to connect people with resources like food stamps, housing resources, medical resources, etc..

Makerspace: Open access to maker space equipment such sewing machines, a Cricut, 3D printer, etc..

Book Baby and Storytime: Early literacy focused story programs for toddlers or preschoolers.

Resume and Job Application Help: 1-on-1 help writing resumes and applying for jobs.

Test Prep: Help for students studying for the ACT or SAT and classes designed to help people complete their GED.

Family Board Game Night: Library provided board games, family friendly.

Citizenship Classes: Classes to help immigrants pass their citizenship test.

Bike workshops: Knowledgeable instructors share expertise and tools necessary to maintain your bike.

ESL Classes: An opportunity for community members to gain English language proficiency.

Holds Pick Up: Have access to the entire SLCPL collection of materials, conveniently delivered to you at the Ballpark Library Lab.

Health and Wellness activities: Keep your body and your mind healthy with activities like Senior Friendly Square Dancing Classes or yoga and mediation programs.
