Welcome to the Smithsonian! We are pleased that your child or ward (“child”) can participate in the Bezos Learning Center BeST Challenge. Under Smithsonian supervision, your child will engage in the following:
  • The Bezos Science and Technology Innovation Challenge will engage middle and high school students in authentic, hands-on activities grounded in real-world problem solving, including design and coding challenges as a demonstration of NASM’s commitment to engaging in authentic learning at the BLC.
  • Collaborate in groups and present their findings and solutions.
  • Engage with experts throughout the Smithsonian and learn from content experts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematic disciplines.

Information collected through this form is used to complete an application to participate in the National Air and Space Museum’s Bezos Learning Center BeST Challenge it is used only to evaluate the applicant for participation. Information submitted is not shared with other entities.

The form must be completed by the parent/guardian of the participant. You are only required to submit the second page of the Parent/Legal Guardian Consent Form. You may submit one image of the second page of the consent form that includes the signature and details. Alternately, you may submit your signed parent/legal guardian consent form as a .pdf that includes multiple page.
