With the Municipal Government Act (MGA) there are a number new requirements that municipalities must work with. These can be costly. Going forward I would like to see North Wiltshire:
Continue on as we have been and continue to meet new requirements of the MGA.
Amalgamate with other like minded communities to meet the requirements of the MGA.
Un-incorporate the municipality and turn the responsibility of collecting fire dues over to the Province. There would then be no local council

North Wiltshire is eligible for Gas Tax funds for the 2019-2024 period. These funds can be used for projects that meet predetermined criteria and are approved by Infrastructure Secretariat. How would you like to see these funds spent?
