Wyoming Arts Alliance Professional Development Workshops |
Pilot Community Application
Purpose
The Wyoming Arts Alliance’s (WyAA’s) mission is to advance a creative and culturally vibrant state, fulfilling our vision of More Art. Better Wyoming. In support of that mission and vision, and supported by recommendations from the 2016 Community Forum and Survey Results, WyAA is launching a pilot community professional development program to address the professional development and leadership training needs identified as critical to building a stronger consortium of voices in support of the arts as key components in community development and a creative statewide economy.
Who may participate
Workshops will be offered in three Wyoming communities. Participation is through an application process. In this first-year pilot WyAA will be looking for representation from geographic areas of the state, clear statements of unique needs for each community selected, and the potential for using what we learn to design future workshops.
Applicant requirements
Applicants will work collaboratively with WyAA’s Program Coordinator on all aspects of developing a unique pilot workshop. Participants are asked to provide a venue for the workshop, promotion within the community, and lunch for participants. Following the program, participants will also be asked to provide a final report/analysis of their experience.
Notification of participants
The three successful applicants will be announced in early November during the Wyoming Arts Council’s Arts Summit. Our goal is to use this pilot project as the basis for developing future similar workshops. Those who apply should be willing to work closely with WyAA‘s Program Coordinator on assessing best practices and planning for future workshops.
