Maui County Public Art Site Survey

.What small town in the county of Maui should we set our sights on? Why?
.Name 3 or more people of that town who should be involved + why (e.g. a community leader, storyteller, historian, business owner, council member, character or other):
.List any areas in the town where you can envision public art (e.g. where would a performance, sculpture, mural, lightwork, gathering or other idea happen?):
.Under the guidance of Maui Historical Society, each artwork is aligned with ‘ōlelo from Mary Kawena Pukui's ‘Ōlelo No‘eau: Hawaiian Proverbs and Political Sayings. Is there an ‘Ōlelo No‘eau that fits with your idea? How?
.Describe one public activity that you would like to participate in to help develop a communal work of art (e.g. public paint day, talk story, art workshop, free performance, school visit, blessing, unveiling, tour, online engagement):
.While we do not have control over the artists that choose to apply for the program, we are very interested in hearing your recommendations: is there an artist or group that you can envision in this town?
.All artists undergo a project development phase with the Maui Historical Society. Are there other entities that you would like to see included? Which ones?
.In your opinion, what is the top accomplishment of the ST*BA program?
