Myrtle Beach, and Surrounding Areas, Ballroom, Latin, and Rhythm Dance Survey 2019

   A survey has been created to provide an independent, confidential method to assess the needs, desires, and opinions of the Myrtle Beach (Horry and Georgetown Counties) area and Southern NC (Brunwick County area) regarding  interest in Ballroom, Latin, and Rhythm dancing.  An earlier survey, during 2018, distributed in a limited manner, provided some key information for planning in our area, yet due to restricted access to others, research data  may have not been fully representative of the positives of our area nor to be aware of needs for improvement in the area of our dance community. It is hoped this survey can be distributed with an adequate number of valid responses to actually create good, reliable data representing those in our area interested in dance.  
   This particular survey will take about 10-12 minutes to complete.  The focus is on the Ballroom, Latin, and Rhythm dance community regarding one's knowledge of various organizations,  various events, awareness of access to dance instruction, a focus for future area planning, and guidance in various areas to create new ideas and concepts for positive change.
   Information gained from this confidential independent survey,  will be provided as a good resource for those who work intently in the area of dance to continue current strategies, possibly modify and/or change their approach to providing what is needed for our area and it's residents.  The survey information will be collected by Kathy L. Fortner, EdS LPC CCMHC for research project in Dance and Movement Therapy Graduate Program with focus on ballroom, latin, and rhythm dancing in various targeted areas.
   Completion of this survey is appreciated for community enhancement and development in dance. Your responses and identifying information will be anonymous. All inclusive results will be shared with organizations, instructors (by request), in a summary format to enhance and educate about what each organization, studio, and/or instructor currently provides to the Myrtle Beach Area and surrounding areas. Any identifying information provided in comment areas will be modified to not identify any individual.
