BNSF Right of Way Improvements Project: Little Village Community Survey

Little Village Community Survey

This City of Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) project will repurpose abandoned sections of BNSF railway right-of-way (ROW) in Little Village and Pilsen.

The purpose of this project is to identify improvements along the abandoned BNSF ROW, from 16th Street & Sangamon to 32nd Street & Central Park Avenue. The improvements may:
  • Create additional open space
  • Enhance the cultural identity and character
  • Provide improved connectivity and continuity

This survey will focus on the Little Village section study limits, between Western and Blue Island Avenue to 32nd Street and Central Park Avenue (see map below).
