The Social and Civic Engagement for Newcomers and Immigrants project (SCENE) funded by Canadian Heritage and Vancity aims to increase social and civic action for newcomers by providing them training, guidance, mentorship, and placement opportunities in leadership positions. Composed of a series of training sessions for newcomers and immigrants on leadership, power dynamics, intercultural fluency, and board fundamentals and practices.

The SCENE Network aims to create collective impact to increase equitable representation in voluntary leadership positions in Metro Vancouver.
