The National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL) and Terra Nova Films recently received funding from the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) (U.S. Department of Justice) for Lifting Up the Voices of Older Survivors Video Project to create educational videos on elder abuse for professionals and community members. NCALL, Terra Nova Films, and the OVC previously partnered on In Their Own Words: Domestic Abuse in Later Life (August 2010), a collection of video clips highlighting the voices of five older survivors to help build the capacity of a range of professional groups who work with older victims of abuse.

We are looking for survivors/victims of elder abuse and/or caring family members of victims who are willing to be filmed to develop education materials for professionals and the general public. These videos will be used throughout the United States so participants will need to consider safety and privacy concerns before agreeing to participate in this project.

If you are interested in talking to project staff about the possibility of being interviewed on film, please complete the information below. Project staff will follow up with an interview to learn more about your experience. Due to budget constraints, eligibility criteria and project guidelines, only a handful of stories will be selected for filming.

If you need assistance completing this survey, please contact Nina Reynolds at 608-237-3454 or nreynolds@ncall.us.
