London Underground Passenger Survey |
1. Why should you participate?
London Underground are cutting out 800 jobs, the jobs of the people that you see on the platforms and in the booking offices at stations that you use.
We believe that this is wrong because it reduces safety at stations when the latest survey by the Department for Transport shows that there were more than 77,000 reported incidents of crime on rail and London Underground. The same report estimates unreported crime to be as high as 197,000 incidents per year on rail and London Underground.
The presence of staff often deters crime and gives passengers reassurance that they can seek help if they feel, or are, threatened.
It also means that in the event of an accident or some other problem, there is someone to turn to.
London Underground want to remove these people but surely your safety is more important?
The company has not asked its passengers what they think about cutting staff. They have not engaged in any form of public consultation – so we are giving you the opportunity to comment.
Please spend a few minutes competing the survey to tell us what you think as a passenger of London Underground.
