The purpose of this survey is to gauge interest of PHS officers in the DMV area (Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia) in sharing information with fellow officers to support each other with ad hoc/emergency assistance, i.e., with child, pet or elder care, while away for deployment.  This repository is being piloted to meet a need expressed by many PHS officers for deployment support.  Sufficient officer interest will be required to establish this repository.

The U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on the Healing Effects of Social Connection and Community has recently been published, and this repository is intended to help us increase social connection amongst our officers.
