SCHEDULE:
  • 7:45am - New Student Arrival (details to come!)
  • Rising 2nd - 5th grade new students will be assigned to a homeroom for the day. They will be placed with students in their CURRENT grade.
  • 8:15 - 12:30pm - A few highlighted activities include 2 carnival rides (Sugar Glider Flyer & Phantom’s Revenge Swinging Pirate Ship), Harry Potter Dodgeball, 2 giant water slides (24’ Tropical Wave Dual Lane Slip and Slide & 33’ Jaws Great White Dual Lane Water Slide) and Freefall Double Jump Tower!
  • 12:30 - 12:45pm - Parent Tug-O-War Challenge! (optional)
  • 12:45 - 1:30pm - Picnic Lunch (no cost)
  • 1:30pm - Dismissal (details to come!)
WHAT TO WEAR:
  • BOYS: Trunk-style bathing suit bottoms or quick-drying shorts, and your new HIES t-shirt (included in your welcome box!) + an extra t-shirt for the water slides.
  • GIRLS: Quick-drying shorts and your new HIES t-shirt (included in your welcome box!) + an extra t-shirt for the water slides.
  • Tennis Shoes- All students must wear tennis shoes / no flip-flops or open-toed shoes permitted
  • Sunscreen- Please apply sunscreen before arrival! All activities and lunch are outdoors.
WHAT TO BRING:
  • Beach towel
  • Light snack (must be nut-free!)
  • Water bottle
PICNIC DETAILS:
  • Lunch will take place on South Campus Fields (directly across the street from the Lower School and to the left of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church)
  • Parents - You are welcome to join your student(s) for lunch! We will be serving hotdogs, chips, fruit & cookies.
  • Parents - limit 2 per student
* If you have more than one NEW student (rising 2nd - 5th), please submit a separate form for each one!
