A map of all the sign locations can be found on The Trail Conservancy’s website:
1.How often do you visit the Butler Trail?
2.On a scale of 1-5, how easy was it to find your location using the new mile markers? (1 being not easy, 5 being super easy)
Did you know? Mile Marker 0 is located at Auditorium Shores, home to the iconic Stevie Ray Vaughan memorial and Fannie Davis Gazebo! Mile markers continue clockwise along the Trail, with a sign every half mile.

How to track your distance:
1. Find the mile marker closest to where you start.
2. Find the mile marker closest to where you finish.
3. Subtract the starting number from the ending number.
Example:
Start near mile 2 and finish near mile 5.5 → 5.5 − 2 = 3.5 miles traveled

3.Have you used the new maps on the mile markers?
4.How would you rate the clarity of the new directional signage (locations and walking/biking distances)? 1 star being not clear, 5 stars being very clear

5.When using the new maps, have you scanned the QR under the map's legend?
Did you know? Scanning the map's QR code takes you to a webpage with all access information including:
  • Trail map to view or download
  • Virtual tour of the trail
  • Accessible Trail Map to view or download (including trail surface material, slope, lighting, resting areas, accessible restrooms, and more)
  • Trail parking information including ADA parking options
  • Transportation Resources
6.Below are examples of old directional signage on the Trail. In comparison to the old signage, how confident are you in your ability to use the new signage to navigate the trail? (1 being not confident at all, 5 being very confident)

7.Do the new regulatory signs (yielding, speed, etc.) help you feel safer while using the Trail?

8.Do you have any other suggestions for the signage plan?
9.Did you know that The Trail Conservancy (TTC) is a non-profit partner of the City of Austin and the primary steward of the Butler Trail?
The mission of The Trail Conservancy is to protect, enhance and connect the Butler Trail for the benefit of all. In 2022, we signed a partnership agreement with the City of Austin called a Park Operations and Maintenance Agreement, granting The Trail Conservancy the rights and responsibilities to operate, maintain, and program the 10-mile Trail and almost 300 acres of parkland that make up the Town Lake Metro Park.
