The London Riverside BID is a company limited by guarantee, which invests BID levies collected annually from businesses rate payers to make improvements to our industrial area and represent businesses' needs to stakeholders such as the Council and Police.

Following four successful terms, the London Riverside BID is consulting for renewal for a further 5-year term 2027-2032 (BID 5). All BID levy payers are 'members' of the BID and will be asked to vote in February 2027.

BID levies are invested in line with the priorities that are set by businesses and in the following survey you will be asked to consider the importance of the services provided or suggest other ways for BID levies to be invested.
2.SAFE AND SECURE - This is the highest area of BID levy investment. Please rate the importance to you / your business of the following services:-(Required.)

Evening and weekend security patrols providing a visible security presence and recording observations
Installation, monitoring and maintenance of CCTV and ANPR cameras (the only cameras in the BID area)
Co-funding of security initiatives on individual estates and business parks
Liaison with authorities such as the Council and Police to share intelligence and information for crime prevention and prosecution.
Early warning alerts to businesses of potential criminal behaviour via email/message
3.CLEAN AND MAINTAINED - This is the second highest area of investment, supplementing Council services. Please rate the importance to you / your business of the following services:-

Litter and weed control in and around business parks and estates
Supplementing the Council's bi-weekly schedule with additional litter picking and road cleansing
Maintenance and greening/planting of highly visible areas to enhance the area's physical appearance
Swift notification to the Council on fly-tipping and dumping, including measures to address hotspots
Lobbying the Council and other agencies on maintenance issues such as lighting, road lining and flooding
4.ACCESSIBLE AND COORDINATED - The BID works to improve the accessibility and profile of the area, to further the interests of our business community, and to present a unified voice. Please rate the importance to you / your business of the following services:-

Sourcing external funding to improve specific parts of the BID area, its functionality or to introduce new amenities
Providing a central point of contact to assist with a range of immediate or longer-term issues that affect your business

Providing regular Member updates via e-newsletters on legislation, local issues and business news
Connecting BID members directly with stakeholders, local politicians or Council representatives
5.GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE - We help Members meet their legal obligations and work to improve the BID area's climate resilience and sustainability credentials, especially to reduce business continuity risks. Please rate the importance of the following to you/your business:-

Better/ more local EV charging facilities
Introducing initiatives to help you recycle more waste such as paper, glass, food and plastic
Access to expertise, e.g., on sustainability practices, reducing carbon footprint, meeting new legislation, or reducing climate related costs

Provision of more climate resilient public spaces, e.g., usable outdoor spaces for staff breaks, measures to provide more shade or to cool highways
6.FIT FOR THE FUTURE - The BID works hard to influence planning authorities and stakeholders so that local businesses can operate in the best possible environment. Please rate the importance of the following to you/your business:-

Should the BID be unsuccessful at renewal in February 2027 all the current and proposed services will stop immediately. We hope you will vote YES to renew the London Riverside Business Improvement District for a further 5 years.

If successful, your responses, along with all other BID Members, will help to set the priorities for the next term, which will be published in the BID's proposal document that will be sent in advance of the ballot.
