Advocacy in Action, An Experiential Component  Survey

Thank you in advance for completing this brief survey which seeks to gather information on the views of healthcare professionals regarding advocacy centered around healthcare.  Organizations that are affiliated with the Tennessee Disability Coalition were selected for this student-led program development project.

Your responses are confidential and will be used to create a resource guide designed to increase the advocacy efforts of practitioners and organizations dedicated to improving the lives of others. Please answer all questions to the maximum extent possible.

Advocacy is described by the Occupational Therapy Framework: Domain and Process (AOTA, 2014, p. S30) as “efforts directed toward promoting occupational justice and empowering clients to seek and obtain resources to fully participate in daily life occupations.  The outcomes of advocacy and self-advocacy support health, well-being, and occupational participation at the individual or systems level.”
