Please note- this survey is intended for residents and business owners of LETHBRIDGE COUNTY.

This survey is not applicable to the City of Lethbridge budget.

Included in Lethbridge County’s Public Participation Policy #174 are the two guiding principles of Inclusiveness and Transparency. Based on these principles, the County is committed to informing and engaging its citizens and stakeholders in this year’s budget process.

As part of the 2019 Community Engagement plan, “Stay Informed. Get Involved”, Lethbridge County invites you to participate in the Budget Survey to help Council and Staff understand your priorities. Your participation and input will help to produce meaningful insights that will allow the County to better serve you today and in years to come.

Like any household or business, the needs and wants within the County are often greater than what is affordable at the time. With your input the County can look at balancing competing priorities and challenges while still providing high quality services for all of our stakeholders.

Your input is vital to assisting Council in the upcoming budget and their priorities.

HOW IT WORKS
The Survey Tool is for feedback and collection purposes. The County wants to hear from you! A summary of each proposed project or budget initiative will be included before each question to ensure you are informed prior to submitting your answers.

· Increase, Decrease or Maintain – Each question will allow you to determine if you feel the service/budget should be increased, decreased or maintained.

· Comment – A comment box will also be provided with each question to ensure you have the opportunity to share your thoughts on the service/project. You can provide a reason for your answer and additional ideas/suggestions related to that service.

BUDGET COMMUNICATION

STAY INFORMED. GET INVOLVED.
Did you know that the Budget Deliberation meetings held by Council are open to the public to attend? This is an opportunity for the public to observe the budget process and learn about upcoming/proposed initiatives and capital projects. The process of reviewing the Capital and Operating budgets takes several meetings prior to approval with the first round being held for three days.

Prior to the first round of budget deliberations, the County will have story boards with proposed capital project information available for viewing at the Lethbridge Administration office. Budget information and meeting dates will also be posted on the County’s website.

Lethbridge County thanks you for your participation!
