ABOUT THE SURVEY
Mná na Coille (Women of the Woods) is an Irish initiative aimed at bringing together women across all areas of forestry — from professional foresters to forest owners, ecologists, engineers, academics and more. Our goal is to create a collaborative, inclusive space where women can share their experiences, knowledge and insights relating to forests.
We want to hear from all women involved with forests, in any capacity — including forestry professionals, landowners, conservationists, policymakers, sawmill and finance professionals, administrators, and family members of forest owners.
We also want to hear from men working in the forest sector, to better understand how women’s roles are viewed and supported across the industry.
This survey is open to anyone involved in the Irish forestry sector and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please feel free to forward the survey to any women you know who are involved with forests in any capacity.
This initiative is being spearheaded by Marina Conway, forester, and Olive Leavy, forest owner, and is supported by funding from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
