Learning Objectives:
1. Identify common power struggles and recognize how internalizing behaviors can
impact the caregiver.
2. Differentiate between common power struggles and identify strategies to
prevent escalation.
3. Demonstrate two highly impactful caregiver skills that can be implemented
immediately in daily caregiving.
4. Implement strategic tools to reinforce validation and empathy to improve
communication and reduce frustration, while maintaining appropriate caregiver
boundaries
5. Apply practical strategies to challenging behaviors associated with traumatic
brain injury and behavioral needs.
