This designation acknowledges individuals who have retired from active practice and who wish to be recognized for their years of service and achievement. The LNCC-Retired status affirms that dedication to excellence in the specialty of legal nurse consulting.

In order to apply, or recertify for LNCC-R you must meet the following requirements prior to your LNCC, or LNCC-R expiration date:
  • The applicant must have been LNCC certified and working in the field of legal nurse consulting for a five-year period to be eligible.
  • The applicant must be retiring from active legal nurse consulting practice with no plans to return to a full or part time position. Per Diem employment is acceptable but the use of the designation, LNCC-Retired, is not permitted in this situation.
  • The applicant’s nursing license must be unrestricted.
