The PNR-CG (Pediatric Nephrology and Rheumatology Collaborative Group) has 2 important initiatives on determining best care practices in managing lupus nephritis. With this survey, we aim to determine the most common approaches of pediatric rheumatologists and pediatric nephrologists for treating children with (1) refractory proliferative lupus nephritis (PLN), and (2) isolated membranous lupus nephritis (MLN). Your input and expertise are critical for the success of this project. The goal is to develop Best Care Protocols which can eventually be compared to one another. By standardizing care around a limited number of approaches, we expect to delineate the preferred approach for the treatment of LN in children.

This survey is being distributed to the members of CARRA (the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance) and ASPN (the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology). Similar surveys were used by CARRA to develop consensus treatment protocols for the initial management of PLN (Mina et al. Arthritis Care Res 2012). Of note, repeat biopsy practices have been previously evaluated and will not be assessed here.

WE EXPECT THAT COMPLETING THE SURVEY WILL TAKE ABOUT 15 MINUTES.
