Voices of resilience: Maternal Child Health

1.The Gaza-Israel conflict is a localized part of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that began in 1948. It involves the Gaza Strip, where 200,000 Palestinians fled or were expelled from their homes, settling as refugees. Since then, Israel has fought 15 wars against the Gaza Strip
2.Women, children and newborns in Gaza are disproportionately bearing the burden of the war, both as casualties and in reduced access to health care services. The U.N. estimates there are around 50,000 pregnant women in Gaza, and that more than 160 babies are delivered every day.
