General Information

This year the 36th GLMA Annual Conference on LGBTQ Health will be held in Las Vegas from October 10-13, 2018! GLMA is committed to ensuring students—from across the health professions—are able to attend the Annual Conference. Therefore, we are able to provide a limited number of scholarships to help offset the cost of attending the Annual Conference. Student scholarships are available due to the generosity of GLMA members and conference attendees!

Students of all health professional disciplines are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be students currently enrolled (part or full-time) in an undergraduate or graduate/professional degree program with plans to pursue a career in the health professions.

We will be considering two different cohorts of students for selection: one cohort will be comprised of students local to/near Las Vegas, and another cohort outside of the Las Vegas area.

Scholarship applications must be received by 11:59pm Eastern on July 1, 2018. Applicants will be notified of scholarship decisions by late July.

Please note: Students selected will be required to register for the Annual Conference as a student scholarship recipient, and submit a refundable $50 deposit. This deposit is to ensure completion of all conference duties on site, and will be refunded. Should you fail to fulfill your responsibilities, you will be charged a full student/trainee conference registration, minus your deposit.

In addition to the waived conference fee, volunteers will receive priority consideration for reduced-rate student rooms at the host hotel, if available.

Unfortunately, no travel funds are available.
