Mid West Hospital Campaign - Have your say!

A meeting took place on Wednesday 26th November between Oireachtas members (TDs & Senators) and the Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss HIQA recommendations for the Mid West.

There are 3 options.
A) Currently in progress with the second 96 bed extension
B) A new hospital, without an Emergency Department
C) A new hospital with an Emergency Department on a Greenfield site

As you, the public have not been given the opportunity to have your say, we would ask you to please fill out this survey. The results will be forwarded to your public representatives and the Minister.
1.The current proposal is that Options A&B will be pursued while Option C will not. Do you agree?
2.Should planning for Option C commence at the same time as Options A&B?
3.Under current proposals, Option C ( a hospital with Emergency Department) will take years to reach discussion stage. Are you prepared to wait?
4.Should distance from and location of a hospital with an Emergency department be a major consideration in the decision making process?
5.Have the demands of our communities been reflected in the responses from our politicians to the Minister for Health's proposals?
