Summer Camp 2021 Family information sessions

Thank you for your interest in Summer Camp 2021 at Templed Hills Camp with the Heartland Conference of the United Church of Christ. If you have not seen our camp session information, please click here.

If you haven't had a chance to read our latest update "How and why can we have summer camp in the time of Covid-19"  please click here.

During this meeting, Jill Frey, Executive Director of Outdoor Ministries will share with you the opportunities available this summer and also more detail on the safety protocols that will be in place to reduce the spread of Covid-19 for on-site activities. We will also have breakout sessions so that you can hear from the Camp Directors about how their specialty camp will be modifying programming.

In summary for in-person camp sessions, we will be following the State of Ohio requirement for Resident camps. We will also be implementing NPIs as recommended in the research study mentioned in the above article as well as other CDC recommendations, including but not limited to the consistent wearing of face coverings by campers and staff, targeted physical distancing through cohort/pod programming, home quarantine prior to camp, and more.

Please let us know if you will be attending and also submit additional questions. We are trying to get a representative from each camp session volunteer leadership team to attend, but cannot guarantee their attendance at each one. Jill Frey, Executive Director of Outdoor Ministries will be leading each session.

Please register at least 24 hours in advance of each session so that we can email you a link to the Zoom meeting prior to the meeting. Or email Jill at jill@heartlanducc.org for another option.
