On behalf of Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, NVision Insight Group (NVision), in collaboration with Katenies Research and Management Services (KRMS), are delivering an online survey on the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne justice system.

NVision is an Indigenous-owned consulting company that works with Indigenous communities and organizations across Canada on a variety of issues (www.nvisiongroup.ca). KRMS is Akwesasronon-owned and operated by Dr. Rose-Alma McDonald. Based out of Akwesasne, KRMS offers research and policy services nationally and internationally (www.kateniesresearch.com).

The goal of this survey is to obtain the views of Akwesasronon on key aspects of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne  justice system e.g. the MCA Akwesasne Court, law development process and justice programs and services.

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. There is a prize for those who consent to participate in the draw. First prize is a computer tablet. Second prize is a $50 gift certificate to 37 West Steakhouse and third prize is a $25 gas card.

All aspects of this survey are being conducted consistent with “OCAP principles”. OCAP stands for Indigenous ownership, control, access and possession of research. These principles govern how information is collected, protected, used and shared in Indigenous communities.

Individual survey responses will be anonymous and held on a confidential basis. Survey results will be incorporated into a report to the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne on the Akwesasne Justice Department Program Review. All information collected as part of this survey will be locked and secured in a restricted area as per OCAP specifications.

If you have any questions regarding the survey please contact Dr. Rose-Alma McDonald at rosealmamcdonald@gmail.com or Angela Day (NVision) at aday@nvisiongroup.ca or 613-237-3613.
