Session Description: This session will immerse students in the world of volunteering and shed new light on the benefits and power of volunteer work.  Seeking opportunities which spark personal growth, learning how to gain the most from charitable work, and methods of developing your own volunteering campaign are a few of the discussions which will take place.  Volunt
eers are often the front line soldiers for the organizations and clients they serve, which is why it is essential to connect their passion, career path, or interests with their volunteer work. Delving deeper than the basic role of a volunteer, the emotional and mental health benefits of making a difference in the world will be discussed and the statistics that support the impact that volunteering has on the community.  Students will leave this session with an enlightened and refreshed view of volunteering and have a comprehensive understanding of the role service plays in developing strong leaders.
