For the 2024-2025 academic year, tuition fees among other costs associated with university are projected to increase across various institutions in Texas, including TAMUCC. This increase will apply to both residential and non-residential students attending universities. This development is a continuation of a trend that has been occurring ever since at least 2015 according to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
In terms of TAMUCC's Total Academic Charges, which includes statutory tuition, designated tuition, mandatory fees, and average college/course fees, costs have increased on average by $1,122 since 2015 for residential undergraduates. In particular, prices rose from $4,263 in 2015 to $5,385 in 2022. This is higher than the overall state average of $5,252.
