Young People and Gambling in the ACT. A Survey of Young People aged 18-30 |
About this Survey
14% |
This survey is run by the Young People and Gambling project team of the Youth Coalition of the ACT and funded by the Problem Gambling Assistance Fund (administered by the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission). The Young People and Gambling Project aims to raise awareness of risky behaviour in relation to gambling amongst young people in the ACT. The project intends to equip young people to better recognise harmful gambling amongst their friends, and provide them with strategies to support their friends who may need support.
The purpose of this survey is to better understand what young people (18-30) in the ACT think about gambling, as well as their experiences, and their peers' experiences of gambling. This information will then be used to develop an awareness raising campaign with young people.
Some of the questions that are asked in this survey relate to your personal circumstances. No personal information about your identity will be linked to your answers. But if you choose to be further involved in the project after this survey, through an interview and/or focus groups then personal information about your identity will be (confidentially) connected to your responses, but will be under digital password protection and only accessible to the project team. You can choose to withdraw from this project at any time. Data will be used anonymously to help inform an awareness campaign, a project report and presentations.
We will not collect any information that can identify individuals in anything we produce or publish. All attempts will be made to ensure your personal information is completely confidential as far as the law allows. All data and personal details will be kept securely under digital password protection (only accessible by the project team) and not used for any purpose other than that outlined above. To see our survey platform's privacy details please go to: http://help.surveymonkey.com/articles/en_US/kb/Are-my-survey-responses-anonymous-and-secure? At the end of the survey, you can choose to provide your contact details to go into the prize draw to win your choice of a $100 cash or voucher. The information you provide for the prize draw will be collected from our securewebsite and is not linked to your answers in this survey.
