Learn how to get fencing right from fencing guru John Knoakes. Also learn about new technologies for fencing from Ken McMiken from Gallagher.
The MCC would like to invite all rural landowners, residents, farmers and others interested in fencing to a guided tour around John Noakes’ farm to show you the various types of fencing to protect your environmental restoration work and native bush areas (including QEII lots), riparian areas and wetlands, along with just general fencing for your rural property.
John Knoakes is a fencing contractor with loads of experience. He was recently awarded the "legends" award at the Annual Fencing Contractors Association of New Zealand industry awards.
The very knowledgeable and practical John Noakes will talk you through the pros and cons and must haves for different fencing functions, as well as gates. He'll also give you a demonstration of all the equipment you’ll need, how to erect and operate electric fencing, and give you pointers around fencing maintenance.
We'll cook some sausages on the BBQ for lunch.
