This survey is being carried out by the LGBTI Caucus of the Refugee Congress. We are a group of gay and lesbian refugees who have been resettled to the US from countries around the world and are now working together to improve the situation of other LGBTI refugees, particularly those who have been resettled to the US.
This is the first time resettled LGBTI refugees to the US have been asked about their resettlement experience. All the information you provide is completely confidential, including your identity. It will take about 15 minutes to complete. We use the term “LGBTI” throughout the survey, which includes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and any other gender nonconforming people. Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary. You can choose to skip a question or not answer a question if you wish. Your participation in this survey will allow us to identify gaps in services for LGBTI refugees and we hope to use the information to create more welcoming environments and greater protections for LGBTI refugees during the resettlement process. Results from this survey will be shared with resettlement partners and organizations that work with LGBTI refugees, both abroad and in the U.S.
Thank you for taking the time to take this survey. If you have questions, please contact email@example.com.
