Have your say on the Sandown Centre!

We want to hear how the community envisions the future of Sandown Centre over the next three years.

Sandown Centre is a project of the non-profit organization Circular Farm and Food Society (CFFS), that stewards 83-acres of farmland, forest, and seasonal wetland, in the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) on District of North Saanich municipal land (W̱SÍ,KEM territory).

Prior to the start of CFFS work in 2021, the Sandown site was used as a horse racing track for over 50 years. The site reclamation process in 2017 did not remove all the remnants of a grandstand, discontinued drainage tiles, pipes, and roadways, making it a challenging site for agriculture. Additionally, over 20 acres of the site actively functions as the District of North Saanich stormwater management plan, and over 20 acres of the site is forested.
1.Have you been to Sandown Centre since 2021?
2.What have you been involved in at Sandown Centre?
3.Which activities are important
4.Are you a North Saanich resident?
5.What do you want to see more of?
6.What do you want to see less of?
