Data Pipeline is a streamlined approach to efficiently and securely move required education information from local education agencies (LEAs) to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Data Pipeline reduces data redundancy, captures closer to real-time data, and streamlines the data collection process. Data Pipeline allows LEAs to submit data regularly to CDE and fix data errors throughout the submission process. Interchanges are intended to be transactional in nature therefore allowing LEAs to submit data regularly to CDE. At appropriate times throughout the school year various subsets of the data, or snapshots, are pulled to obtain specific data needed. Additionally, the Data Pipeline has collections which are open year round as well as once a year aggregate, or periodic, collections.

Now that the Data Pipeline is the established method for CDE to obtain data from LEAs, CDE would like to get your feedback about the system. What makes some collections go more smoothly than others? What steps within the process contribute to the ease or difficulty of submitting data? What are your perceptions of the Data Pipeline collection(s) for which you are directly responsible? Your specific and general suggestions will assist the department to refine our education data collection system. The survey will take 10 - 20 minutes to complete, depending on the number of collections you oversee. Your responses will remain anonymous. However, the survey does request some general classification information at the beginning of this survey. Thank you for your responses. Your time and effort to contribute to an improved Data Pipeline system is greatly appreciated!
