Cervical Dystonia (CD) & Botulinum Neurotoxin Treatment (BoNT) Patient Survey

The DMRF is gathering input from people with cervical dystonia (CD) about how their botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) treatments are guided—particularly looking at the use of ultrasound (US) versus electromyography (EMG). The brief survey asks about your treatment setting, whether your provider uses EMG or US, and how treatment areas are determined. Even if you’re not currently treated with BoNT, there's an option to let us know. Your feedback will help inform clinical understanding and future research. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
1.Where are you located?
2.Does your doctor treat your CD with BoNT? If yes, please proceed with survey, if no, you are done with the survey.
3.Does your doctor use EMG guidance for BoNT treatments? (ex. the procedure typically involves inserting a small needle into the muscle to determine electrical signals to find the correct injection site)
4.If "Usually Yes", what are the reasons?
5.Does your doctor use ultrasound (US) guidance?
6.Does your doctor do a clinical exam to determine what areas to inject (looking at your head movements to determine which muscles to treat, feeling your neck muscles to find hard or painful areas, asking you to move your head/neck to different positions when doing injections)
