Thank you for your interest in the 2026 SCGC x CFC Composer-Filmmaker Forum, presented by the Screen Composers Guild of Canada (SCGC) with the participation of the Canadian Film Centre (CFC).

The Forum is an intensive two-day professional development initiative designed to help emerging screen composers build the knowledge, relationships, and practical skills needed to establish sustainable careers in film, television, games, and digital media.

Participants will engage with leading Canadian screen composers, music professionals, and members of the CFC filmmaking community through panel discussions, collaborative sessions, networking opportunities, and practical career development activities.

Participation is limited, and applicants will be selected through a competitive adjudication process.

5.For the purposes of this Forum, an emerging screen composer is someone actively pursuing a professional career in screen composition but not yet earning the majority of their professional income from screen composing or closely related composing activities.
