Assembly bills 130 and 131 create narrow exemptions to the Spills Law specific to PFAS and create, expand and fund PFAS grant programs to help Wisconsin communities address PFAS contamination, especially in their drinking water. Some of the programs created by this law are new and it will take time for the DNR to establish and develop processes to implement the programs and make funding award determinations. The DNR is committed to creating robust grant programs that comply with the law while moving quickly to ensure assistance is available to those who need it most.
The DNR welcomes your feedback and questions. Please complete this form to submit questions or provide input for the DNR to consider regarding the following: 1) new or expanded grant programs; 2) Spills Law responsibilities and exemptions; and 3) general questions or feedback. Interest in these programs is high so staff may not respond to all feedback but will review and consider your input as the grant programs are developed.
More information about PFAS is available on the DNR’s website. You can also sign-up to receive email updates about implementation.
Disclaimer: Submittal of this form does not constitute an application for funding or any commitment of funding from the DNR. We will evaluate feedback and may modify the form over time based on the feedback we receive.
