ACT Youth Council Application 2024-2025

*PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING*
Thank you for your interest in applying for the Youth Council. In order to complete this application, you must be:
  • A high school student who is a resident of Alexandria (City of Alexandria or Fairfax County)
  • Currently in grades 9, 10, or 11

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING

All applicants are required to complete questions #1-7 of this application, regardless of which option you choose. For questions #8-13, students will choose one of two options:
  • video submission
  • written submission
If you are choosing the written option, you will fill out questions #8-13 on this application. Each response should be a five-sentence maximum.

If you are choosing the video option, you will first fill out questions #1-7 of this written application. You will then answer questions #8-13 in video format and send the video or link to the video to shelley.miller@actforalexandria.org.

The deadline to complete and submit your application is October 28 at 11:59PM. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Shelley Spacek Miller at shelley.miller@actforalexandria.org.

Youth Council members will have follow-up conversations (virtual) with select applicants beginning October 26th and anticipates decisions the first week of November.
