Are you a business in the Wagga Wagga CBD that would like to be part of a new activation concept? The Wagga Business Chamber is inviting local businesses to register their interest in participating in:
Activation 1
Dates: Sunday 1 November to Saturday 7 November 2026
Precinct: Fitzmaurice Street (Victory Memorial Gardens to Crampton Street)
Activation 2
Dates: Sunday 7 March – Saturday 13 March 2027
Precinct: Baylis Street (Victory Memorial Gardens to the Railway Station)
These activations are part of the Regional Night-Time Economy Program and aims to encourage greater activity in the Wagga Wagga CBD after dark. The program is designed to support local businesses, build collaboration across the precinct and create a more vibrant, welcoming evening experience for locals and visitors.
Why get involved?
Participating businesses will have the opportunity to:
- attract new and returning customers
- be part of a coordinated CBD activation
- increase visibility through activation marketing and promotion
- contribute to a more vibrant Fitzmaurice and Baylis Street precincts
- trial a new idea, offer or experience in a supported event environment
What could participation look like?
We are looking for businesses to create special offers, experiences, activities or incentives that encourage people to visit the precinct during the event period. Examples might include:
- late-night trading or “sip and shop” experiences
- live music or comedy
- workshops or themed events
- special menus, offers or in-store promotions
- collaborative offers with nearby businesses
- lighting up your business for the event activation period
- special holiday or Melbourne Cup-themed activities
These business-led experiences will be complemented by roving entertainment, pop-up performances and other on-street activations throughout the precinct.
