- A brief account of ongoing or recently completed research;
- A short proposal concerning research they wish to undertake;
- A brief account of ongoing NGO or government project work that involves or requires research; and
- A statement about how participation in the Pacific Research Colloquium would help advance their career, research training or professional development.

Applicant responses will be assessed in terms of their engagement with issues pertaining to Pacific politics, security and development, originality and clarity of purpose.
