Ao Mai Te Rā

The Ao Mai te Rā kaupapa is developed in partnership with the University of Canterbury, and Tokona te Raki to look at delivering 4-5 case studies on best/good practice regarding anti-racism solutions through an established case study method that ensures data is collected from multiple sources. The purpose of this survey, which will be seconded by interviews, is to provide information on current definitions of racism, examples of anti-racist practices or initiatives in the health sector and to ascertain what you believe are the most important changes to support the health sector to become more anti-racist.  This information will be used to craft interview questions and will provide a baseline of evidence for the project team.

You will be asked a series of survey questions regarding your perceptions and experiences in relation to the above.

The survey will take approximately 10 minutes.

Participation in this study is completely voluntary. If you decide to participate in this survey, you are free to withdraw at any time.

We do not anticipate any risks, though participants may experience some light stress while responding to questions.

The responses to the survey will be kept strictly confidential. No IP addresses are collected and invitations are anonymous. However, because the survey is conducted over the Internet, there is no absolute guarantee that some other party will collect information.

The results from the survey will be stored on a password-protected server that is accessible only by members of the Tokona te Raki research team. Any use of the collected data in reports or other publication will contain no identifying information.

If you have questions or concerns regarding this survey and your rights as a participant, please contact  aomaitera@health.govt.nz
