The LeadingAge Tennessee Awards Program invites members to recognize individuals and organizations that work to advance the mission and vision of both the member organization and the association. These awards affirm excellence, leadership, innovation, service, and values cherished by LeadingAge Tennessee. With various categories (for individuals, programs, or even the community as a whole) and no limit on the number of nominations per community, members are encouraged to nominate any and all outstanding achievements within their communities.

Excellence in Caring - Caregiver: This award recognizes a caregiver who has demonstrated an exceptional proficiency in the delivery of quality resident care services to the residents of the organization. This category includes caregivers, CNA’s, LPN’s, RN’s.

Excellence in Caring - Support/Service Staff: This award recognizes a support staff member who has demonstrated an exceptional proficiency in the performance of his or her job responsibilities. This category includes, but is not limited to, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, social services, pastoral care, activities personnel and office staff. Managers and directors are not eligible.

Excellence in Innovation: This award recognizes programs or services from your community which go above and beyond normal operations and enhance the field of aging services. A focus on culture change is beneficial to the concept of these programs. Examples could include programs designed for a particular resident population, motivation and team building programs, community-focused services, creative concepts which enhance quality living and facility operations. This award is a community
award.

Excellence in Volunteerism: This award recognizes communities that have initiated or improved upon their volunteer programs which exhibit a positive community impact. The award may also be presented to an individual volunteer in your community who has initiated exemplary service

Distinguished Senior Award: This award recognizes any resident in your community who dedicates his/her time and talent to advance the mission, vision and values of your community. This individual may be active within the member community or within the community-at-large.
